My sample of Kashi’s Peanutty Dark Chocolate Layered Granola Bar arrived this week! (Did you request yours?) Kashi also included a $1.50 off coupon. I’m a fan of Dark Chocolate, so it was a no brainer for me to choose the granola over the Cinnamon Harvest Cereal (which I actually already eat anyway).
These bars make great snacks! I often eat breakfast early, before the little one wakes up and I head to work. I like to have lunch in the afternoon, and this little bar was perfect for that mid-morning snack. The bar is a mix of chewy granola, dark chocolate chunks, and fruit. On top is a layer of dark chocolate sprinkles with peanuts on top.
Looking over the nutritional information, I was surprised that a full size bar (sample bar pictured) only has 4.5 grams of fat. There are 7 grams of fiber and 4 grams of protein. The only negative I found about this bar, was there was a strange after taste. However, it may just be me! I have a tendency to have this strange after taste with several Kashi products. I wouldn’t say it would stop me from consuming these bars. I found them tasty, and they appear to have more nutrition than other bars I compared it to.
Overall I would recommend Kashi’s Peanutty Dark Chocolate Layered Granola Bar as a great snack to have on hand. Kashi has a great natural product, and I think the bar is tasty enough for the little ones to enjoy.
This is 100% my own honest opinion. No one has influenced me otherwise and I was in no way compensated for this review. This review is solely based on my own experience with this product.
