Just one week to go till Disney’s THE JUNGLE BOOK hits theaters… and I.Can’t.Wait!! I can’t tell you how excited I am that Disney is bringing a live action version of their animated classic to the big screen. What is even cooler is that the film will be released for opening week in Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime. If you haven’t been to one of these theaters yet, it is truly an amazing movie-going experience!
Directed by Jon Favreau, the film, based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories, follows the adventure of young Mowgli, a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. As Mowgli grows up, he soon realizes that he is not exactly welcomed in the jungle when the Bengal tiger Shere Khan decides to eliminate the presence of Man (in this case Mowgli) who he see as a threat! Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera and the free-spirited bear Baloo. It is on his journey Mowgli encounters the familiar python Kaa and smooth-talking ape King Louie.
