The past several nights my son has peacefully drifted off to sleep to the soothing sounds of 2pac’s California Love and Lady Gaga’s Telephone. You might think I’m crazy to play those songs to get him to nap, but thanks to Jammy Jams, those hits were turned into melodic lullabies!
Jammy Jams puts a fun twist on lullabies by creating versions of your favorite Hip-Hop, Rock, and Pop hits just for your baby. From Jay-Z to Run DMC, Eminem to The Fray, Lady Gaga to The Beastie Boys, you’ll be sure to enjoy something a little different from traditional lullabies and nature sounds.
Jammy Jams generously sent me two of their albums on CD format. Once Upon a Rhyme features lullaby renditions of favorite hip-hop classics, while Goo Goo Gaga is compiled of lullaby renditions of Lady Gaga hits.
I love how unique and different these lullabies are! Both albums featured soothing sounds of vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, piano, blocks and more, as performed and arranged by Tim Phillips and Jeff Bradford, local here to the Maryland/DC area. I found it kind of fun that my son was drifting off to sleep for a nap while listening to Dr. Dre.
I have a CD player near my son’s crib so it was easy to pop in an album when I started to rock him to sleep for his nap or bedtime. Once Upon a Rhyme, which features Outkast, Beastie Boys, and Coolio just to name a few, appeared to put him to sleep quicker. Now this doesn’t mean Goo Goo Gaga didn’t do the trick! He still would fall asleep to the tune of Poker Face, Just Dance, and Bad Romance. I just think this little man probably prefers hip hop over pop.
Aside from the two albums previously mentioned, Jammy Jams also offers Once Upon this Rock, which features lullaby renditions of Christian Rock Hits by artists such as Owl City, The Fray, Switchfoot, and more.

Looks amazing. Wish I had this when my kids were babies. They still might actually enjoy dancing to something like that. I had never heard of it before. Thanks for the awesome review. =)
