When my parents asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I told them a new bathroom! They laughed because they thought I was kidding. Boy, I was not! Okay, there wasn’t anything really wrong with my bathroom. I just don’t like it. My home is built in 2002, so it wasn’t like the bathroom was dated. It just looked boring. All white fixtures and lavender walls just weren’t my taste. I decided to take it on and renovate my own bathroom! Researching was the fun part! It’s amazing what technology they have for your bathroom and plumbing. Did you know they even have tankless heaters for your water now?
Here’s the thing though, I’ve never done this before. With a little help and guidance from my dad and others, I had a new bathroom. New tile flooring had already been installed a couple years prior, along with a new light fixture. This time I got a brand new sink, and new faucet to match. I added new decor as well as newly painted walls. You can imagine I was a pretty happy lady at that point! That was, until I went to actually use the bathroom.
I turned on the faucet and expected at least warm water to come out. Well it’s winter, so maybe it would take a while I thought. So I waited and waited and then eventually realize there was nothing but cold water coming out. Luckily RotoRooter is there for you 24/7 and offers fast and responsive service. I just typed in my zip code at their site and in seconds pops up the closet plumber. The website instantly gave me the phone number for their Annapolis branch.
In no time my water heater was fixed and hot came flowing from those faucets once again! The plumber even mentioned my “big ole tank of a water heater”. It was fixed, but looking in my utility closet, it sure did take up a lot of room. You can probably guess what he suggested. Why yes, a tankless heater for my water. I’m definitely adding that to my must-haves list for the next time I decide to renovate. It’s no fun going in the winter without hot water, that’s for sure!
This post is sponsored by Roto Rooter. However this is 100% my own opinion and I have not been influenced otherwise.

Tankless is nice but you have to do electrical changes as well. Seriously get an estimate before you try and do it. The newer heaters have a longer life and work more efficiently. If you have hard water definitely get a self cleaning one.
