Well if you follow me on Instagram, you know one thing for sure… I. Love. Tacos. I never miss a Taco Tuesday! Recently I was testing out a sample of products offered by Giant Food. Did you know they have this amazing Hot Sriarcha glaze? It is perfect for dishes such as pulled pork, chicken wings, or my favorite… in tacos! If you like heat and spice in your food, this is definitely an item you will want to pick up next time you find yourself at Giant. Check out this tutorial for Hot Sriracha Chicken Tacos I made…
Ingredients
Tortillas
Chicken Breasts
Hot Sriracha Glaze from Giant
Pinch of salt
Sliced Avocado
Shredded Taco Cheese
Directions
Place the chicken in a large sauce pan. Add enough water to cover the chicken, with a pinch or two of salt. Go ahead and bring your water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for at least 5 minutes. Turn the heat off, over the pan, and let the chicken sit for about 15 minutes until cooked all the way through. Place the chicken in a large bowl, and thread it using forks, or with a mixer! Yes, using an electric mixer really works to shred chicken if you but it up a bit first.
Wipe out the sauce pan you previously used, and add in your desired amount of Hot Sriracha glaze. It really depends how many chicken breasts you cooked. I cooked two very large chicken breasts and used about a cup of the glaze.
Turn the heat up to medium. You’ll want to bring the sauce to a simmer, which takes about 3 to 5 minutes. Once the sauce is simmering, add in your chicken. Make sure the sauce completely coats the chicken. Stir and cook the mixture for about two minutes.
Once the chicken is done, serve immediately in your favorite tortilla! Top with avocado slices to break up the spice, and add a bit of cheese on top as well.
Feel free to squeeze on some lime juice for extra flavor! If you host “Taco Tuesday” in your household, this is definitely an answer recipe that is certainly a crowd pleaser. My friends and I all love our food HOT and SPICY.
These Hot Sriracha Chicken Tacos are great to make for any gathering for lovers of spice. I love how Giant Food, with the help of this glaze, makes it so easy to whip up delicious tacos in no time, without all the hard work.
