Last year April 15th was proclaimed One Boston Day. A year later, the new tradition is still strong in the city, encouraging residents, as well as people all over the nation to celebrate the resiliency, generosity and strength. Three years ago, cowards tried to bring Boston down. Boy was that the wrong city to mess with. Their attempts to defeat failed, and Boston became more stronger than ever.
Not only is One Boston Day a great way to celebrate kindness, but it is serves for businesses and organizations to display their humanity and draw neighbors together. For instance, the Boston Sports Museum is offering FREE ADMISSION, as is the Museum of Fine Arts (after 4PM). The Museum of Science is offering FREE ENTRY for visitors into their Butterfly Garden, and FREE ADMISSION for members of the military and their families.
For members of the military and their families, Boston Duck Tours will offer FREE RIDES!
Also today, the Red Cross will be at the Sheraton Boston Hotel on Dalton Street for a Boston Strong Blood Drive from 9 AM through 2 PM.
Did I mention that the Boston Ballet Nutcracker Bear will be out in Copley Square giving out FREE HUGS at noon?
These are just a few ways Boston is celebrating today… Be sure to follow the #OneBostonDay hashtag to see how you can give back and get involved to help the community on One Boston Day.
