Last week I took my son on a mini-vacation to Hersheypark Amusement Park in honor of his “graduation” from Kindergarten. Though he has visited Hershey The Sweetest Place on Earth! before, this was his first time checking out Hersheypark. There is so much to see and experience in this family-friendly amusement attraction. However I have to tell you that one of things that really got him excited was devouring a King Size Shake available at Simply Chocolate in Hersheypark!
Hersheypark is great when it comes to offering a wide variety of food selections. Of course since the amusement park is CHOCOLATE themed, you are definitely going to find your share of sweet delights in which you should definitely treat yourself and enjoy a taste or two. When we spied Simply Chocolate, I knew they were famous for their King Size Shakes.
We immediately walked up to the window to check out the offerings. Now Simply Chocolate does offer a few delightful looking sundaes… but we had our minds set on the King Size Shakes!
When I pointed to the menu and asked him which flavor he wanted, his smile grew bigger and bigger with delight. Offerings include: Hershey’s Hershey Bar, Reese’s, and Hershey’s Kiss. He ultimately chose the Reese’s King Size Shake. You can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter!
This milkshake was made up of creamy peanut and chocolate that absolutely satisfy any sweet tooth craving. On top of this shake you’ll find two generous size pieces of peanut butter pie, as well as two chocolate covered pretzel rods. Around the rim of the souvenir cup is chocolate frosting, completely with sprinkles, Reese’s Pieces, and mini Reese’s cups.
If you love chocolate and peanut butter, you will definitely want to try this! My son and I each took turns taking sips (okay, actually gulps because the shake is that good!) of the rich milkshake. At one point he was determined to finish it on his own! That wasn’t happening. The milkshake was just too good not to share.
After we drank a good amount, we were able to enjoy the pieces of the peanut butter pie. While most of the filling had mixed in with the milkshake, we were able to easily break the crust with our spoon to enjoy. My son particular enjoyed eating the pretzel rods as they dropped with yummy peanut butter – chocolate goodness.
The King Sized Shakes are available for $13.99. Keep in mind, if you are a Season Pass holder, you get an extra 15% off the price! Plus you can also rinse out and keep the souvenir cup. I will tell you that the shake is huge. There is definitely enough for everyone in the family to enjoy a Hersheypark King Size Shake. The price is definitely worth it to treat yourself!
Which King Size Shake would you like to try?
While Hersheypark Season Passes and accommodations were provided by Hershey Resorts and Entertainment, all opinions are 100% my own.
