Get your party hats and noise makers ready… who wants to ring in the New Year in “sweet” style? What better way to celebrate New Year’s Eve than in the Sweetest Place on Earth… Hershey, PA! You won’t want to miss the raising of the 7-foot tall, and nearly 300-pound Hershey’s Kiss replica at midnight! The famous HERSHEY’s Kiss Drop will once again happen at Central PA’s Premier New Year’s Event, followed by fireworks. From 9 PM to Midnight, it is FREE ADMISSION into the Square in Downtown Hershey, PA.
This year, 18-year old singer-songwriter Jacob Whitesides, is headlining the New Year’s Eve event. This Knoxville, Tennessee, is known for his covers of popular songs and videos of his original work, as well as his #1 hits on iTunes, and Artist to Watch recognition on Pandora, MTV, and Radio Disney. Taking the stage right before Whitesides is local rock and roll cover band “All Jacked Up.” A popular crowd favorite, they cover everything from Katy Perry to Journey.
I’m excited to tell you that the Hershey’s Products characters will also be making their way through the crowds this year!
Schedule of Events
11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM – Bubble Wrap Stomp at The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Ave.
7 PM, 8 PM and 9 PM – Steven Courtney to perform in the social hall at the First United Methodist Church. There will also be outdoor kids games, hot beverages and cookies provided.
8 – 9:30 PM – Jim Rule performs on the front patio at The Hershey Story. He will be joined by the Hershey’s Candy Characters around 9 PM and will conclude his program with a bubble wrap stomp.
9 PM – All Jacked Up takes the main stage
10:30 PM – Headliner Jacob Whitesides performs until countdown to midnight
11:55 PM – Countdown to midnight followed by fireworks display
