So I think Boston must be my good luck charm for Disney related press trips! Last summer I was in Boston when I received an invite to attend the Guardians of the Galaxy Press Junket LA. A few weeks, as I was moments away from boarding a flight to Boston, when an email invite appeared in my inbox, inviting me to a press event for one of the movies I’m so excited to see in 2015… Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON!!!
I feel bad for the people near me. I screamed. Like seriously screamed. Here I was, standing in the boarding line, screaming with pure happiness. Luckily I explained to them I was okay. My “happy shrieks” were a good thing. Disney and Marvel have definitely put together an amazing few days in Los Angeles for 24 other bloggers and I to attend press junkets and events in honor of upcoming films!
#AvengersEvent
Seriously I am beyond giddy about screening this film. In the past I’ve been incredibly lucky to attend a press trip for Marvel’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, and the World Premiere of THOR: THE DARK WORLD. In the second installment of the Avengers film series, our favorite heroes assemble to in a battle to save the planet from destruction this time from the oh so villainous Ultron, voiced by James Spader. How does this villain come to be? Well it looks like when Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things happen to go awry…During #AvengersEvent, my fellow bloggers and I will have the opportunity to interview To Be Determined talent from the film! as fast as potential cast we could possible chat with…. Robert Downey Jr., returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Chris Evans as Captain America. Also reprising their roles, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. The Avengers gain the additional support of familiar faces such like Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. As for mystery newcomers? Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen enter the Marvel universe. Let’s just say the talent meets an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision.
I do have to give a nice shout out to the folks over at Original Retro Brand! Being awesome like they are, they hooked me up with a couple of Marvel shirts knowing I was such a fan of the film franchise. Perfect to way to show my love for Marvel! Check out a few of their vintage style Marvel designs below…
Stay tune though… Not only will I have awesome exclusive coverage on the film, but you just may have the opportunity to win a Marvel shirt (or maybe another Retro shirt… baseball season is here you know!) to wear when you head to the theaters to see AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON!

On this same trip, I’ll be able to attend a special advance screening of MONKEY KINGDOM, which opens in theaters on April 17th! The film tells the adventures of new mom Maya, a clever and resourceful blonde-bobbed monkey who’s determined to give her son a leg up in the world. MONKEY KINGDOM also features a rich variety of characters, including a mischievous mongoose, simple-minded langur monkeys, predatory leopards and monitor lizards. The film is narrated by Tina Fey (Muppets Most Wanted).
Not only will I get to screen the film, but I’ll have the opportunity to check out the monkey exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo!
