Ever have one of those bad days that are just so awful that you assume it will never get better? Yup, totally had one of those the other day. As some of you know, I’ve been super bummed about loved ones being deployed overseas very soon. I had one of those days where it was weighing heavily on my mind. It is those HEROES who I kept thinking about… until… an email from Disney popped up in my inbox discussing a different type of “hero”! Funny thing… the email came through while I was at work, and I’m pretty sure my co-workers were suddenly confused why I was shrieking with glee!
Next month I’m headed to Los Angeles to attend the THOR: THE DARK WORLD red carpet premiere, interview Loki aka Tom Hiddleston and Sif aka Jaimie Alexander,. How freaking awesome is that news? That’s not all though… I also get to see DELIVERY MAN and interview Chris Pratt and Vince Vaughn!! So now do you see why I so giddy with happiness? To say that the news made my day is an understatement. It totally made my year!! I cannot wait to attend the #ThorDarkWorldEvent and #DeliveryManEvent!
I feel myself getting all excited again as I even type this post! Okay, I promise to calm down so I don’t type complete gibberish from all my SQUEELING!
Now my son is also a HUGE Super Hero fan! I must admit, he loves Iron Man the best… but he was certainly excited to hear that his mom was heading to a super-hero themed event (as a 2 year old, he didn’t quite understand what I meant by red carpet). Every day he keeps asking “Momma, when you going to see super heroes?”
Actually now looking at that big grin on his face, I hope he knows that I’m the one going to hang out with heroes, not him, LOL!! I promised to bring him back awesome Marvel gifts if he behaved while I was gone.
#ThorDarkWorldEvent
So let’s chat Thor first. See that hashtag above? The one that says #ThorDarkWorldEvent? Yeah, you are going to see that pop up often on my blog and social media accounts! Be sure to check it out and follow. This event is going to be AWESOME and you don’t want to miss out on all the fun.
Now if you are a regular reader of this blog, I’m sure you are very aware that THOR: THE DARK WORLD is coming out November 8th. I’m fully aware that I go a little fan-girlish and totally post often about this film. Now if you aren’t aware, then you are in luck… You can watch the trailer right now:
Feel free to comment below with any questions you may have for Loki and Sif, errr, I mean Tom and Jaimie! I’ll be sure to try my best and squeeze those burning inquiries into the interview.
EDIT: I’m not interviewing Zachary Levi, who plays Fandral, as well! Send in your questions for him!
Don’t forget to connect with THOR on Facebook and Twitter! If you haven’t taken a moment to check out our recipe The Mighty Stuffed Burger, you may want to! #DeliveryManEvent
DELIVERY MAN is one movie I’m super excited to see this year! The film stars Vince Vaughn, where he plays the good-nature, but underachieving David, who is looking for his purpose in life. It then turns out that he actually has fathered 533 children through anonymous donations to a fertility clinic 20 years ago! Now he’s trying to decide whether or not to come forward when 142 of them want to meet their biological father. Chris Pratt plays his friend Brett in the film.
Watch the trailer for DELIVERY MAN now:
I couldn’t be more excited for the chance to interview Vince Vaughn and Chris Pratt! Vince Vaughn films always keep me laughing in stitches. He’s absolutely hilarious! Chris Pratt was great in Zero Dark Thirty, and his character is just too funny on the show Parks and Recreation. Be sure to comment with any questions about DELIVERY MAN you may have for them!
EDIT: I’m now attending the Delivery Man red carpet premiere AND interviewing Cobie Smulders who plays Emma in the film! Woo hoo!
Be sure to connect with the Delivery Man on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram! This film hits theaters on November 22nd! Remember to follow the hashtag #DeliveryManMovie for everything related to the film. Want to check on updates related to the press event I’m attending? Make sure you follow #DeliveryManEvent.
Another highlight of my time out in California will be attending a press day at Disney Toon Studios for the In-Home release of PLANES! I’ve seen that film several times now (including during my last trip out to California back in June) and can’t wait to get this movie on DVD for my little one. He loved it when we saw it in the theaters. I’m also going to get a sneak peak of Marvel’s new In-Home release IRON MAN & HULK: HEROES UNITED. How awesome is that? We are always happy to add anything Avengers related to our home entertainment collection! I’m sure this is a DVD my son will love as well.

I received the following information as a blogger via Walt Disney Publications. While I’m attending an expense paid trip by Disney to the Thor: The Dark World Premiere, all opinions are 100% my own.

How cute is your son? So adorable! My son is a big super hero fan too – which is the only reason he’s “letting me” go next month. See you there! :D

A question for Jaimie and Tom. Sif and Loki seems to have this more intense relationship then other characters. Were they involved in the past?
