October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! It seems everyone these days is either directly effect by breast cancer, or know someone who does. In honor of this month, I’m happy to tell you about Hanes’ new Facebook App.
You are probably familiar with Hanes, the company that has brought you soft and comfortable cotton apparel. They recently created a Facebook App for Breast Cancer Awareness! This Virtual Comfort application allows users to share comfort with those who need it most. Head on over to Hanes’ Facebook Page and “Like” the page to become a Fan. You can then send personalized virtual Comfort Packages to friends and family for free! Just use the digital tool provided to you by Hanes on their page.
This “package” could definitely bring a smile to a patient or survivor’s face, while helping spread comfort to fans’ social networks in a small, but impactful, way. The Comfort Package is fully customizable with photos, videos, recipes, T-shirt designs, music and messages! This is a great way to personalize the package for the special someone. Just locate the Pink tab and your are ready to send away! It is so quick and easy.
Best part is that Hanes will donate $1 (up to $25,000) to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. every time someone uses the app and sends a package! This foundation helps promote early cancer detection and provides mammograms for those in need. What an amazing charity!
I hope you will take the time to look around and send someone a package. There is also a video of interviews featuring Hanes employees who have been affected by breast cancer. In addition, check out the Words of Comfort Wall where fans can leave thoughts of hope and encouragement to those touched by this terrible disease.
I participated in this campaign as a member of One2One Network and am eligible for a prize drawing. All opinions stated in the post are my own.
