My favorite season is upon us, and that means one of my favorite annual events is coming up next month… Hersheypark in the Dark Halloween Attraction at Hersheypark Amusement Park! We are thrilled that Hersheypark will once again offer sweet fall events and happy Halloween happenings for the whole family. The fun takes place Fridays through Sundays from October 18 through November 3 at Hersheypark and other family-friendly Hershey, PA, locations.
Hersheypark in the Dark
Hersheypark in the Dark features more than 50 rides and attractions, including The Thrilling Thirteen roller coasters (weather permitting)! One exciting aspect is that Hersheypark will turn off the lights on its three wooden roller coasters during the last hour of each operating evening and the indoor Laff Trakk coaster will be dark throughout Park operation.
Don’t worry… if thrill rides aren’t exactly your thing, there are still plenty of other rides open. Younger kids and families will be sure to enjoy the large variety of attractions open for everyone.
If you love Hershey Chocolate, then you’ll want to check out the trick-or-treat trail! With 13 spooky stops, the trail is set up for children 12 and under throughout various locations. Stops are in Treatville in Hersheypark and ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, and Hershey Hollow in Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction. Children are encouraged to come in costume for free treat bags and candy at each stop throughout the trail.
For those who love the live entertainment, Screaming Mummies, a band of misfit mummies, will perform throwback Halloween tunes! Plus The Character Glow Dance Party is back! Guests can join a variety of Hershey’s Characters for dancing.
Plus festive fall-themed food and beverages, such as pumpkin funnel cakes, s’mores and Pumpkin King Size Shakes.
Adult tickets are $41.95 , and $31.95 for junior and senior guests. Buy your tickets online today!
Other Hershey Fall Fun
Creatures of the Night will also take place once again this year! Admission to the experience is included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark In The Dark Halloween seasonal event when entering from the Park during Hersheypark in the Dark operating hours. Guests can bring a flashlight for the nighttime experience program at ZooAmerica. Separate admission is also available at the Zoo’s off-street entrance.
Over at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction, you can catch the Hershey Trolley Works’ Trick-or-Treat Trolley! The Trolley returns this year, with limited edition tours that features Milton Hershey’s life story in a fall-themed Trolley with plenty of treats and no tricks.
Don’t miss out on the Flavors of Fall Fest happening over at Hershey’s Chocolate World. Guests can bite into the delicious flavors of fall and try limited edition sweet and savory dishes from Hershey’s Kitchens.
Visitors can learn about the history of chocolate and chocolate-making process at The Hershey Story, the Museum on Chocolate Avenue, during two chocolate lab classes in October. The “Spooky Bark” Chocolate Lab Class is on Saturdays and Sundays in October at 2:30 p.m. Class participants will mold their own milk chocolate bar and top it off with a variety of Halloween candy pieces.
On October 18, 19, 25 and 26 from 6 to 8:30 PM, Hershey Gardens lights up the night with more than 200 carved, illuminated pumpkins with Pumpkin Glow! Kids ages 12 and younger are invited to bring a flashlight, so they can trick-or-treat to collect candy at eight stations along the pathway and enjoy themed jack-o-lantern displays. Live cartoon characters will also greet guests.
On October 25 and 26 only, celebrity pumpkin carver Danny Kissel will be onsite carving his fantastical, whimsical creations. Lebanon County Career & Technology Center students will be giving pumpkin carving demonstrations on all four nights.
