I’m sharing this information on the behalf of Iraq And Afghanistan Veterans Of America, Inc. I was not financially compensated for this posting. I’m sharing because I want you to participate and remember those who fought for our country this Memorial Day.
Today I received an email from Iraq And Afghanistan Veterans Of America, Inc. (IAVA) detailing their #GoSilent campaign. Memorial Day is not just day off from work, or a three-day weekend where you head to the mall for savings or BBQ in the backyard. For a number of Americans, it means so much more.
Memorial Day is a day to remember all those lost in defending our country. This is why I’m happy to see that IAVA is reminding America the true meaning of Memorial Day, with their #GoSilent campaign. All they are asking is that you take ONE MINUTE out of your Memorial Day to #GoSilent.
I hope you consider taking the pledge. You just simply stop what you are doing at 12:01pm EST for 60 seconds to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. To pledge: http://iava.org/memorial-day/
