Disclosure: This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. All opinions are my own. I am also a Shaklee distributor.
I’m trying not to shed a tear as this is my last Shaklee 180™ post! While my 6 month journey with the Shaklee 180™ Program is coming to an end, it doesn’t necessarily mean that my journey to loose weight and get back in shape is over.
Thank You Shaklee 180™ for the last 6 months!
So this is it! The day I report my final Shaklee 180™ results. Like I said above, my weight loss journey is far from over. I knew that my overall weight loss goal could not be accomplished in a healthy fashion in the 6 month time frame. So I choose a goal of at least 40 lbs, which is half of my goal of 80 lbs. Not overwhelming myself with an unachievable goal in 6 months I think was the right move. I knew a 40 lb loss would be doable if I stuck with the program and got active. That is exactly what I did to my best ability…
First off before I reveal how much I lost during my 6 months participating in the Shaklee 180™ program, check out this side by side close up comparison of how I looked when I started, and an image of me from last night before I headed out for the night. Do you see a difference?
I admit, stepping on the scale and measuring my inches this morning made me quite nervous. These are my final Shaklee numbers! While I knew the program was working and I was loosing weight, I was nervous to see if I reached my goal or not…
August Shaklee 180™ Results
So let’s talk numbers now! So how did I do for August on Shaklee 180™? Here are my stats for 8/30/2013:
Weight: 178 lbs.
Hips: 33″
Waist: 40″
Bust: 40″
Thighs: 21.5″
Arms: 10.5″
Grand Total:
Weight loss of 41 lbs.
Inch loss of 26.5″
Here’s the breakdown of how much I lost around each body part:
Hips: 8″
Waist: 7″
Bust: 5.5″
Thighs: 3.5″
Arms: 2.5″
So for the month of August, I lost 6 pounds, and 2.5″. It was more than the 4 pound loss I had been experiencing the last 2 months. While yes, I wish the number was bigger, I have to look at the whole picture. I’m down 41 lbs!! Earlier this year I weight 41 lbs heavier! Considering that my toddler is almost 40 lbs, I pretty much lost my child’s weight and more. I have to be proud of myself for that.
My Transformation
Here is a visual to see how much weight and inches I loss. I’m wearing the exact same outfit in both pictures. The pants are a Large from Old Navy, and the shirt is an XL from Gap. Needless to say, I actually now wear a Medium in Gap t-shirts! You can see in the picture all the way to the right that the shirt is now baggy and hangs in the front. Okay, I know I’m not smiling in the photo, I really meant to! I just had no idea they had already taken the picture.
After I hit publish on this post, I’m headed off to finish packing. Tomorrow I leave to go back up to Rhode Island to see my family. I can’t wait for them to see my weight loss, especially since many of them haven’t seen me since April!
A big part of the trip is that my brother is getting married. I’m a bridesmaid in the wedding. I’m thrilled that I’m in better shape and sporting a thinner figure for the wedding photos. I was fitted for my bridesmaid dress in April, and it arrived this month. When I put it on it was WAY too big! Luckily my tailor did a quick turn around on alterations. However when I went to try it on again, it had to be taken in even more! I guess not a bad problem to have though. I’m looking forward to a weekend of celebration with my family. While we are all celebrating my brother and his new wife, I can’t help but celebrate internally the strides I’m making to return to my former thinner self.
Thank you Shaklee 180™! Thank you thank you thank you! I feel like this was the accountability and jump start I needed to get moving. Shaklee 180™ wasn’t just a meal replacement program for me. I found support among the other wonderful bloggers I met in the program. I started to see a change in my body, and I got back into activities I had abandoned after having a baby. I started jogging, returned to kickball, and yoga thanks to Shaklee.
I’m super excited that I’ll be running my first 5K in a long long long time next week. It’s the Washington Redskins 5K as part of the Return to NFL Race Series! I can’t wait. Awhile back a friend told me we were doing the race and I really didn’t have a choice. At first I was hesitate, but I’m glad in the end he pushed me to register. I actually did a practice run this morning. While my time isn’t nearly as what it used to be when I was a runner, it still wasn’t as horrific as I thought it would be. Honestly, if I didn’t have the confidence I gained from being on the Shaklee 180™ program, I’d probably be dreading the race. While I’m still nervous, I’m super excited as well!
What You Need to Know
I struggled with weight loss in the past after having a baby. That was the first time in my life I found myself overweight and I had no clue what to do, or how to fix “the problem”. I struggled and struggled. When I was accepted into the Shaklee program, I was thrilled. Shaklee provided me the tools and support I need to move my life in a positive direction. They helped me regain my confidence back, and I now have faith I can keep going till I reach my final weight loss goal.
This program is not difficult. The shakes and easy to make. The meal bars and snack bars require no extra cooking. I have a shake for breakfast, and a bar for lunch. It’s so simple! There is a meal plan and suggestions to help you create your third meal. The Shaklee app is super useful as well in counting your calories and tracking your exercise. I honestly never knew weight loss would be this easy. If you are struggling with weight loss, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shaklee 180™. You can see the proof for yourself that this program worked for me.

What a great transformation! You look so skinny now!
That’s awesome! What a great job you did. It’s always nice to put the weight loss into perspective with a tangible thing (like a child!) I went mountain climbing last weekend and while it was hard, I imagined doing it with my 6 year old strapped on (as I’ve lost about as much as he weighs) and then it felt impossible. I think your positive attitude is going to make all the difference going forward!
41 lbs! That is amazing! Great job!
