Disclosure: This is a sponsored post as part of the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. All opinions are my own. I am also a Shaklee distributor.
Back in February, I excitedly announced that I was chosen to be a Shaklee 180™ Blogger! March 1st I officially started the program, and I couldn’t be more happy about it. Geared towards weight loss, Shaklee 180™ uses all natural ingredients in their meal replacements (plus no GMOs!!) to help you achieve the body you want.
Shaklee 180™ Turnaround Kit
Shaklee sent me a Shaklee 180™ Turnaround Kit for my first month on the program. This customizable two-meal kit delivers a complete program of smoothees, snacks, energizing tea and metabolic boost. I couldn’t wait to start!
To simplify the program, I basically replace two of my meals with Shaklee 180™ products. This would be with either a shake or a meal bar. Additionally I take a metabolic boost and Shaklee snacks if they fit in with my meal plan. When you receive the kit, you’ll be able to determine which calorie count meal plan you are on based on your weight. The Shaklee 180™ app for your phone is super helpful in tracking calories eaten and calories burned!
The Starting Point
*Sigh* Now here is the hard part. Publicly admitting my “fat stats”as I like to call them. The picture to the right is my “Face: Before” shot. Yes, I’m wearing makeup, but no flattering angles like I usually try to pose in. Straight-on, fat face, puffy cheeks and all. The pictures below are my “Body: Before” which looking at them now, I should have probably taken some better ones. There I am, no makeup, no flattering clothes. In fact I wore skin tight clothes to show you the “lumps.” I definitely have some “fat candid” shots that I can use for comparison at the end of this six month journey.
It was hard looking at these photos. Spending most of my life thin and not overweight accepting that I’m fat has been beyond difficult. I have no one but myself to blame over the last 2 years of weight gain. I can’t blame my pregnancy, because frankly I should have lost the baby weight by now. Life is stressful, but I should have probably taken better steps to reduce stressful situations in my life.

I’m so excited to see that I’ve lost 8 lbs this month! That was my goal! The only downside is that I actually weighed myself last Friday before Easter weekend and was down 9 lbs. So it looks like the Easter festivities I gained a pound back. However I’m determined to keep up this 8 lbs per month trend and to watch the scale keep doing down.
I lost 6.5″ in March. I would have liked to see a bigger number in that aspect. I actually was doing awesome in the beginning of March with my workouts. I admit, I slacked a little due to work stress the last 2 weeks of March. Exercise will definitely be a priority in April. I’m actually on a kickball team and our games start this week! I’m super excited about adding a fun aspect to my workouts with kickball.

That’s great, 8 lbs is awesome. I’m only down 4 but feel like I’m on the right track. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for posting your stats. They are almost exactly where mine are! It’s encouraging to see your results! I just started this week and am actually experiencing a few pounds of weight gain. Did you experience anything like that your first week?

My weight would go down 3 lbs, then I would gain one back, and then down 2 lbs, stay like that a few days before decreasing again. It wasn’t just a straight loss every day. However, in the end at the end of the month I weight less than when I began :) Keep at it, and if you don’t see any increase, contact one of the nutritionists! They can help steer you in the right direction :) Good luck!!!
