I was thrilled to learn that Klout was sending me a random color from Essie’s new Summer Collection! If you aren’t familiar with Klout, it is a program that awards “perks” to accounts they feel are influential in a particular topic. Though I love nail polish, I’ve actually never used Essie before.
For the Summer Collection, there is a total of six colors. Names and descriptions of each color as detailed in my press kit are described below:
- bikiny so teeny – provocative lustrous sky blue
- cascade cool – frosty, shimmery carnation pink
- all tied up – naughty molten bronze
- off the shoulder – daring, scorching hot pink
- fear or desire – obsession-worthy bright orange
- mojito madness – fun loving party lime
It wasn’t long before “off the shoulder”, pink in color, arrive at my doorstep. Looked like a really fun summer pink! While reading up on these nail polishes, one aspect I really loved was that they polishes are DBP, formaldehyde, and toluene free. This pretty much means there is no risk of your nails “rotting” underneath your natural nails. To me, that’s a pretty big deal!
I love the formula they use. It dries so fast! It almost seemed that as soon as I was done applying one coat to my nails, I was ready to brush on a second coat without risking blotting or messing up the first coat. So far the polish seems to be lasting quite long! The polish gives off a great shine too. I didn’t even have to apply a clear top coat.
Buy It: Visit their site to find a local retailer that carries Essie near you. For my zip code, there are several CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies that carry Essie near me. The summer collection debuts this month. The suggested retail price is $8.00.
I received these products complimentary via Klout. This is 100% my own honest opinion. No one has influenced me otherwise and I was in no way compensated financially. This review is solely based on my own experience with this product.
