I received a form of compensation to enjoy a dinner at Bonefish Grill. All opinions and thoughts expressed are 100% my own.Fall is currently here in full force in Maryland, and that means life is now full of school, soccer practice, and gearing up for winter. I tell you, I was definitely in need of a night out to take a break from the craziness of my fall schedule. I lined up a babysitter and called some friends to make plans. Now I was in the mood for seafood. Living in Annapolis, seafood restaurants are a plenty, but only a few get it right. So I headed to one of my favorites… Bonefish Grill!
Upon arrival, I noticed they had a new fall menu. The selections sounded absolutely delicious! We decided we would definitely have to try one and share our meal choices. It was hard to just pick one entree. While we browsed over the menu, the informative waiter brought us the most delicious warm bread. I loved the herb infused dipping oil they serve along with it.
For beverages there is an array of season cocktails and beer selections available. I was very much so tempted by the Fall Apple Martini, which includes Fall apples soaked 3 days in vodka, finished with a touch of honey and a cinnamon sprinkle. However we decided to go with a season beer and cider selection of Traveler’s Jack O Pumpkin Shandy and Angry Orchard. For appetizers, we tried the Saucy Shrimp! The sauteed shrimp in a lime tomato garlic sauce with Kalamata olives and Feta cheese was absolutely mouthwatering. Definitely gives Bang Bang Shrimp a run for it’s money! We also tried a season red pepper soup that had the perfect amount of heat. The meal off the Fall menu we tried was the Swordfish and Pumpkin Ravioli. I liked how the fish was a nice size, and quite thick. The feta on top wasn’t overwhelming to the flavors. The truffle butter is strong, so truffle fans will be happy with this dish! It was delicious, but I think the pumpkin raviolis were my favorite part of the entree. The filling was amazing and paired well with the Swordfish. The green beans had the right amount of crispness which was a nice counter to the texture of the fish and raviolis. We also tried the Shrimp Pad Thai. It was quite traditional with the rice noodles, green onions, peanuts, and egg. The traditional Pad Thai sauce was quite tasty, especially for a non-Thai restaurant.I’m guessing we were in quite a shrimp mood tonight because the third entree we ordered was the Cilantro Lime Shrimp Salad. Aside from the shrimp, the salad also included roasted corn, black beans, Feta, grape tomatoes, and red onion. The cilantro lime vinaigrette was absolutely delicious! Overall this was a very light entree, so I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a meal that isn’t heavy.I’m surprised we had room for dessert! We enjoyed the Pumpkin Creme Brulee. If you like pumpkin, you’ll love this treat. It is definitely strong on the pumpkin flavor. The crispiness of the sugar on top was perfect.
