With the current holidays, I find myself in the kitchen cooking and baking more than ever! It’s tempting to eat a little more than I should. Sometimes I wonder if I’m eating accurate portions or not. Luckily, EatSmart has created a line of innovative kitchen scales to take the guessing out of portion control!
For those not familiar with EatSmart, they are the leading designer and manufacturer of high quality, user friendly digital scales here in the US! They offer accurate (and reliable!) scales for the kitchen, bathroom, and even for your luggage. Each scale is specifically engineered to the highest precision standards, but also created with “user-friendliness” in mind. As a long time customer of EatSmart, I’ve always been happy and satisfied with the items they produce.
EatSmart generously sent me their NEW Precision Elite Digital Kitchen Scale to help me out in the kitchen when cooking and preparing my meals!
For the scale, all you need is 4 AAA batteries, which come included. The scale has a sturdy stainless steel platform, but weights less than 2 lbs. The weight limit on the scale is 15 lbs. I love that the scale offers 4 measurement modes with grams, kilograms, ounces, or pounds. The measurements are displayed on an easy to read Backlit LCD Display. There is also a 3 minute auto-shutoff feature in case you forget and leave the scale on. This is so you don’t waste the batteries!
If you are absolutely serious about portion control and counting calories, this scale makes it super easy. Included with the scale is the Calorie Factors Book. It gives you so many measurements of what true portions should be! If someone has issues with overeating, this feature is quite helpful. We actually used this for when measuring out Thanksgiving dinner! We wanted to make sure we were cooking the appropriate portion amounts for everyone, and not cooking too much food.
I didn’t just use it for my turkey dinner though. I’ve also been using the scale for measuring out small ingredients in recipes. It’s super helpful and take the guessing game out it. It’s nice to know whether I’m actually including the right amount or not! If you are one who is constantly cooking in the kitchen, you’ll definitely want to check this scale out.
Don’t forget to connect with EatSmart on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube, and Pinterest! One aspect I love about EatSmart is that every month they pick a new charity to contribute donations. For the month of December, for each new Twitter follower they gain, EatSmart will donate $0.50 to Eva’s Village. This charity is dedicated to fighting homelessness and poverty.
