Recently I made these adorable DIY football mason jars that you can use for decor in a variety of way. One of my favorite ways to utilize the jars is for them to hold the utensils for the party, or hold my favorite candy! Right now I’m all about SNICKERS® Bar and SNICKERS® Crisper Bars! Never had them before? You’re missing out, especially since they now have football-themed SNICKERS® packaging.
Football Mason Jars
Materials
Mason jars
Enamel paint (brown and white)
Paint brush (thin)
Decorative string or twine
Instructions
First make sure your jars are clean of any grease. You may want to lay down some newspaper during this next step.
Take your brown enamel paint and brush the outside of the jar. I like to use a smaller brush so there is less streaking from large bristles.
Once you’ve covered the jar, allow the paint to dry. It may need another coat depending on thick or thin you layered the paint.
Once the paint dries, with a steady hand, draw one white vertical line down a side. This is for the “laces.” Then proceed to draw a number of short horizontal lines across the long vertical line.
I like to draw four horizontal lines across each vertical line on each jar. Allow that paint to dry.
Now take your decorate string and wrap it around the neck of the jar. Tie it off in a nice bow. Cut excess if you need to. Then there you go! An easy to do DIY football mason jar perfect to use when decorating your tablescape.
As I mentioned above, I’m totally digging the football-themed SNICKERS® packaging. These SNICKERS® bars really are a great and super fun way to add a little more “football” to your food spread. You can find these special SNICKERS® at your local CVS, along with any other snacks, drinks, and utensils you may need to entertain!
Even better, you can grab a CVS digital coupon to save $1.00 when you purchase two (2) SNICKERS® singles or king size bars.
