Through Influenster’s Mom VoxBox program, I was offered a free language lesson through Dino Lingo for my son to take advantage of. There are lots of cool languages for your child to learn such as Spanish, Greek, French, Russian, and Finnish just to name a few. In fact Din Lingo offers 30 languages your children can learn.
Since my son is so young and still learning to talk, we actually opted for the English lessons. When I pulled the lesson up on the video screen, he at first had no interest in watching. I think it had a lot to do with his age of 15 months. As soon as music started playing, he came running. He smiled as the dinosaur appeared on the screen running among colorful scenery.
Luckily the first part of the lesson focused on cats and dogs, two words he actually knows! Okay, well cat is really “kitty”, but he does know dog. He was super excited to see an animal he knew on the screen. The animals shows where a mix of cartoon characters and real live animals.
Dino Lingo shows the words on the screen and a child reads the words in a light-hearted voice. The voice is friendly and melodic which for my son is a plus. He is very sensitive to loud voices and people’s tone. Since he loves to watch and play with other children, I think he enjoyed hearing another child’s voice read the words to him.
Dino Lingo uses the repetition of phrases and vocabulary words to assist your child in learning the language. For the foreign languages, the program uses native speakers in each language. This definitely helps with proper pronunciation of each word. I love how Dino Lingo engages both the visual and auditory senses through colors, music, sound, and imagery.

I received this product complimentary through Influenster in their Mom VoxBox program. This is 100% my own honest opinion. No one has influenced me otherwise and I was in no way compensated financially. This review is solely based on my own experience with this product.

That’s great! I’ve always heard it’s best to teach children a foreign language young for better pronunciation. Having this use a child’s voice will definitely make a child want to stay with it longer.
