For my local Annapolis area parents, this is a FREE event that is definitely worth checking out! On Saturday, Octoober 22, Historic Annapolis, Inc. is hosting an event featuring the ever popular PBS’s Daniel Tiger. You won’t want to miss Good Neighbor Day with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood in the William Paca Garden.
Families can meet Daniel Tiger in person on this beautiful neighborly day. Celebrate with Daniel honor what makes our neighborhood special and unique. Families can enjoy fun-filled activities as they learn about the history of Annapolis. They can also meet community helpers from the Annapolis Fire and Police Departments, as well as the United States Naval Academy. I know my son is always excited to meet our local first responders!
In addition, children will learn how they can support their neighbors in big and small ways. Furthermore, this fun day includes music, storytelling, trolley rides, crafts and more. Finally, kids have the chance to write cards for active military heroes and draw pictures for seniors at the event.
The event runs from 10 AM to 1 PM, and is located at 186 Prince George Street in historic Annapolis. For those unfamiliar with its history, the William Paca House was the home of Maryland Declaration of Independence signer William Paca. All in all, this will definitely be a great community event!
