While I attended the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration Event in New York, I was under no obligation to post about my experience. All opinions and views expressed are 100% my own.
Earlier this week I headed to New York City for the #DisneySMMC On the Road Event. There were so many great guest speakers and inspiring panelists, including multimedia journalist Victoria Lim. She gave us some great tips on maximizing our mobiles, multimedia interviewing, photo and video editing, and creating quick multimedia for our blogs and brands. One of the apps for multimedia she gave us a demonstration on was Magisto. Seeing how easy and simple it was to use, I immediately knew I had to have this app!
Seeing how easy it was to put together a pretty awesome little movie in 5 minutes, I decided to try my hand at the app and make my own quick video using photos I took earlier that day at the event:
I can’t stress how EASY it is to use this app straight from my iPhone. Using your phone (or desktop), scroll through your Camera Roll and pick the photos (and/or videos) you would like to use. Then choose your theme, select a background song (don’t worry, they’ll offer suggestions in each theme), pick a title, and wait while Magisto does all the work! your photos (and videos) and creates little snippets set to the theme and music of your choice.
Now here’s the really cool part… during Victoria’s demonstration, she gave us a code for a year of Magisto’s Premium (Pro) plan (normally $9.99 a month)! How awesome is that? Even better… I can share that code with you: magistotrial12.
Now here’s the important part in using the code. First simply download the app for your iPhone or Android phone, and create a login. You then must head to magisto.com ON A DESKTOP/LAP TOP. Log into your account and look for the Settings tab.
Once you are in the Settings, your Account Information page will pop up. Scroll down to the section that says Redeem coupon. Enter the code magistotrial12 and click REDEEM.
As I mentioned above, there are all types of themes and styles you can select to create your own Magisto movie magic. Just to show you a different type of style, here is a video of my son playing with his new oh so wonderful “voice changer” that his Dad got him for Christmas (yes I’m using my sarcasm font in there!).
