If you follow me on Twitter, you have probably caught on by now that I’m a Boston Red Sox fan! So you can imagine my excitement when the Red Sox beat the Baltimore Orioles in a 3-1 victory, securing their place in postseason 2013.
Now some of you may be shaking your head, wondering why a girl who lives in Maryland wasn’t rooting for the Orioles. I do! I actually root for both them, and the Washington Nationals. I love my local teams, I really do. Though Boston Red Sox is my number one. Trust me, it isn’t always easy to be a Boston fan in Maryland (or when hanging out with a New York Yankees fan). Though in this household we do love our baseball and couldn’t be happier about the Red Sox’s success this season and AL East Title.
Right now it appears that Boston’s competition for the American League title is the Detroit Tigers or the Oakland Athletics. Tampa Bay Rays and the Texas Rangers currently hold potential spots to make Wild Card. On the National League side, we have the Atlanta Braves, and the St. Louis Cardinals all with high potential. Congrats to the Los Angeles Dodgers on the NL West Title. For Wild Card, it looks like it might be the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds. We’ll see!
So my fellow Red Sox fans… anyone else getting that 2004/2007 vibe???
Who would you like to see make postseason and win the World Series?
