With Valentine’s Day just over a week away, we’ve been going out full Valentine-mode here with recipes, crafts, decorations, and of course V-Day cards! One of our favorite things to do is make my Valentine Popcorn Munch! Now you may have seen the recipe on my blog here before. This year we switched it up a little bit!
Ingredients
Bag of microwave popcorn
3 tbsp of butter
1.5 cups of mini marshmallows
4 tbsp of Strawberry Jello mix
1 bag of chocolate chips (dark or semi-sweet)
1 bag of white chocolate chips
pink sprinkles
red sprinkles
Directions
Place the butter in a saucepan with the heat set on low. Slowly stir the mini marshmallows into the melting butter. You don’t have to let the marshmallows completely melt, but just so that they soften. Stir in the jello mix to give the mix the pink color. Spread out in a large baking pan and then drizzled the pink mixture on top. Use a spoon or spatula to mix and coated the popcorn with the jello flavoring.
Once you have the popcorn coated with the strawberry jello powder, place it in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes at 350 degrees. If the popcorn appears sticky, heating it in the oven will help reduce the stickiness.
For the chocolate drizzle, I first melted the white chocolate chips using the directions on the bag. Once melted, drizzle it on the popcorn. Immediately after, sprinkle on the pink and red sprinkles. Repeat these steps with the dark or semi sweet chocolate, once again adding more sprinkles afterward.
Once you’ve added your chocolate, place the popcorn in the fridge to let the chocolate harden. Keep it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. Periodically check to see if the chocolate is hard.
After the chocolate has harden, that means the popcorn is ready to serve! Break the popcorn up in your desired size chunks.
These year I found the most adorable cupcake wrappers to serve smaller servings of the munch in. We will be serving the munch this way at our Valentine’s Get-Together next week! Can’t wait!
Have a happy Valentine’s Day and enjoy!

I am definitely saving this recipe — it almost looks too pretty to eat (but I’ll somehow….someway…make it though!!) What a great idea with the jello too! Who knew!
