Ah winter… the season of comfort food! One of my favorites? Monkey bread!! If you enjoy carbs and garlic, then I have the perfect recipe to share with you! Check out this SUPER EASY recipe below for Cheesy Garlic Lovers Monkey Bread.
Ingredients
1/4 cup of melted butter
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
At least 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
2 cans (8 oz.) of seamless sheet for crescent dough
Shredded Parmesan cheese
Directions
First you’ll want to preheat your oven to 350°F. Take an 8 inch square baking dish, and light rub oil in the dish or using cooking spray, lightly coat the inside of the dish.
Then take a small mixing bowl and add in the melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic. Mix the ingredients together!
Take one can of your dough. Unroll the dough into a large rectangle. I usually just place it right on a cookie sheet. Proceed to slice the dough into 3 rows one way, and 8 rows another way. This will make 24 pieces. Do this again with the other roll. You will then have 48 pieces of dough total.
Take each piece and roll it into a ball. Dip each ball into the butter mixture.
Arrange the balls into a single layer in the baking dish similar to displayed below.
Bake the monkey bread for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from over and sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese as desire. Cook for another 5 minutes in the oven so that the cheese melts.
Let the bread cool for a few minutes, but be sure to serve it while still warm!
The monkey bread is easy to pull apart! Enjoy it in large or small pieces!
My son loves monkey bread as a side to our pasta dishes. I personally love dipping the pieces in my soup!
What do you like to enjoy with your monkey bread?
I did not receive financial compensation for this post. All opinions are my own.
LOVE monkey bread, but it’s always been cinnamon. Since I love garlic also, I’d be all over this!
