I did not receive financial compensation for this posting. I’m just sharing because it is a great idea!
Wednesday, April 15th, is One Boston Day! This brand new tradition aims to celebrate the resiliency, generosity and strength of the residents of the Boston by encouraging acts of kindness and spreading goodwill.
One Boston Day is a great way for businesses and organizations to display their humanity and draw neighbors together. Scrolling through the website, I saw the Hyatt Regency teaming up with the St. Francois House to get new clean sneakers for the homeless and underprivileged. Karlson & McKenzie from Boston’s classic rock station 100.7 WZLX are hosting a clean up at Filippello Park in Watertown. The Joshua Eaton Elementary School in Reading is writing thank you letters to the local police and fire departments for keeping them safe. The iBasis Running Group is creating gift baskets of snacks for the local police and fire departments. These are just a few of the great ways the community is coming together for this special day!
On this day, we remember and reflect. We greet our neighbors. We lend a hand. We reach out, give back, and go above and beyond. We epitomize the spirit of the city we love.
Be sure to follow the #OneBostonDay hashtag to see how you can give back and get involved to help the community on One Boston Day.
