Yesterday National Geographic announced a number of family bloggers who will participate in the National Geographic Kids Insider brand ambassador program for the 2016-2017 yearlong assignment. I am beyond thrilled that my name is included on that list! We are such huge fans of National Geographic, especially my little nature-lover/scientist/wannabe space explorer.
My son and I have been super into watching the Olympic Games this year, especially now that my boy has started swimming. He loves watching the divers! Right now one of his favorite activities is to go out to the pool and dive for his rings. Sure he hasn’t exactly mastered the art of diving and swimming like the Olympians we watch. However I love that he strives to be like them one day. Even at just five years old, I must say, I admire his dedication. It reminds parents like you and how when it comes to our kids, we must power their dreams. Plus it’s so cute when he chants “USA” any time he sees Team USA grace the screen.
It’s summer… which means vacations are bound to happen! Yes I’m getting ready to head out on a very special vacation. I’m off to my sister’s wedding which will happen later this week. This is why I’m missing #FindingDoryEvent. I hope you take time to check out the hashtag and follow my fellow bloggers as they learn all about the new film… which opens next weekend!
Last year April 15th was proclaimed One Boston Day. A year later, the new tradition is still strong in the city, encouraging residents, as well as people all over the nation to celebrate the resiliency, generosity and strength. Three years ago, cowards tried to bring Boston down. Boy was that the wrong city to mess with. Their attempts to defeat failed, and Boston became more stronger than ever.
With the arrival of Spring, the weather is getting warmer, and I know a number of men who are getting ready to shave away those winter beards, including the special man in my life. Now don’t get me wrong, I love the bearded look. But let’s face it… Summer is coming and there are just times when the scruff is just too much in the heat! That is exactly why I want to chat about shaving today.
