When I received an invite to the Press Event for RATCHET & CLANK the movie, I couldn’t have been more excited! This is definitely a film my son has been wanting to see. When I saw the dates though, I realized I couldn’t make it out to Los Angeles as I was already booked on another press trip. HOWEVER, I have some awesome bloggy friends attending and I hope you follow them via the hashtag #RatchetAndClankMovie April 8-9 as they screen the film and interview actress Bella Thorne, voice of “Ratchet” James Arnold Taylor, and Director/Writer Kevin Munroe.
Based on the iconic PlayStation video game, this CG-animated movie tells the tale of two unlikely heroes in their adventures. This time the two aim to stop a vile alien! Chairman Drek has dastardly plans including destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet and Clank just may be the galaxy’s only hope…
Now if you aren’t familiar with the two… Ratchet, a foolhardy “lombax,” is the last of his kind, all alone with no family. Clank on the other hand is a small robot, that while lacks brawn, makes up for it with brain power! In this adventure, the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they join forces with The Galactic Rangers to save the galaxy. Along the way, they will learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.
