As a someone who works outside of the home, it is a rarity I get to sit down and enjoy an actual lunch meal during the work week. One of my New Year Resolutions is to make time for myself to sit down and enjoy balanced meals instead of rushing and eating snacks on the go. Now my office is in an area where the only lunch options are quite expensive! As a mom always on a budget, bringing a lunch from home is my go-to option. Yes, I’ve decided that I need to “love lunch in.” Luckily I recently learned about Campbell’s® Slow Kettle soups, and in this frigid cold weather, these warm hearty soups are a great option!
I saw these delicious soups on a trip to my local Walmart. It was especially cold that day I had the idea to purchase meal options to warm the body and soul! I headed down to the soup aisle and immediately the variety of flavors in the Slow Kettle section of the aisle caught my eye.
Flavors including chicken fiesta lime tortilla, southwest chicken chili, and a portobello mushroom bisque had my mouth watering! It was nice to see ingredients and options a little more hearty than let’s say plain chicken noodle. I couldn’t wait to get home and try some of the soups before taking them to work as lunch. I knew they would be perfect during those days at home when I’m still busy working away on my lap top!
One aspect I love about Campbell’s® Slow Kettle soup is how easy and quickly you can prepare the meal! If I’m at home, I prefer to quickly heat the soup on the stove top in a saucepan. This is the way Campell’s® recommends preparation for best results.
However, a very attractive feature of these soups is that you can microwave the soup in its container. This option is PERFECT for when I have a busy day in the office. All you have to do is discard plastic cap and remove (and discard) the metal lid. Using microwavable plastic wrap, cover the container and microwave the soup right in its container on HIGH for 2 minutes. Let the soup stand for 1 minute, stir, and then it is ready to enjoy! How easy is that?
Also the container is pretty handy in case I have to “walk and eat” around my home during that lunch break.
I’ll admit, I LOVE how filling these soups are! Usually the sandwiches I munch on leave me needing a snack to hold me over till dinnertime. Not with Slow Kettle soups though! Large chunks of meat and vegetables definitely kept my tummy full after enjoying a hot and delicious meal. Restaurant quality for sure!
I usually don’t need any accompaniments to the soup. However a piece a bread to soak up every last drop of soup isn’t a bad idea. These soups are so delicious, you won’t want to miss one spoonful!
Whether you are a busy mom trying to keep a household under control, or working busily away in an office, these Slow Kettle soups are the perfect option to enjoy a hot filling meal for lunch time! I know I’m definitely adding these items to my weekly grocery list.

Wow, those really do look great. I am home alone for lunch most days, so I don’t want to go through a big production. This would be a great option. Plus, I wouldn’t have to share with anyone!
