One of my son’s absolute favorite things to do is to push buttons. Does not matter if they are on the remote, phone, blackberry, or even the touch screen on an iPad, he wants to play with it! Now when he grabs the remote or phone, I just give him his toy version of it instead. Though what do I do when he tries to grab my friend’s iPad? Bright Starts generously sent their new Lights and Sounds FunPad to test out with my son and to review. In our household, we love Bright Starts! We have been using their products since my son was a newborn. I couldn’t wait for him to try out the FunPad. Right off the bat I can say that he loved it!
Recommended for ages 3 months and up, the FunPad is a great toy that can grow with your child well into their toddler years. This “Baby Tablet” introduces animals, shapes, colors, and numbers just to name a few. I love that there are over 40 different musical melodies and silly sounds. The “screen” has several large soft buttons with fabric across them. This makes it much easier for your little one to press the buttons. Pressing the buttons results in a quite colorful light show! The FunPad includes a slider at the bottom that activates more sounds and music. Plus it is just fun to slide the button! My son’s favorite aspect of this toy was the big green button at the bottom that lights up when you press it! He just had a ball pushing and pushing and pushing.
As a parent, when looking at a “musical” toy, one of the first things I look for is volume control, and an off switch. I’m happy to report that the FunPad includes both!
My son has so much fun with his new FunPad. The bright colors are eye catching and the animal characters featured are absolutely adorable. The FunPad is the perfect combination of a portable toy featuring lights, sounds, and action!
