I’m a girl with a sweet tooth! While I’m pretty good about keeping junk food out of the house, there are times when I just NEED to have a cookie or candy bar. This is why I’m always looking for some “healthier” alternative. Luckily, this is where Boundless Nutrition comes into play! I was excited to learn about this natural healthy food manufacturer and distributor that is based in Austin, Texas.  I absolutely love that they are a family owned and operated business.  Boundless Nutrition currently offer the Oatmega 3 Wellness bars and the Perfect FIT Protein Cookies.

About Boundless Nutrition

Boundless Nutrition started as a small home grown business in Austin Texas. Trevor created the bars as part of a diet and exercise program for himself. As his diet plan started working well his friends and coworkers wanted to know his secret; aside from regular exercise, small frequent meals that contain high quality proteins, healthy fats and antioxidants were the key. Since it isn’t always easy to eat frequent meals, Trevor created a nutrition bar that had all of the essential aspects of a small healthy meal. He dubbed the bars the Oatmega 3 Wellness Bars after the omega 3 fatty acids and whole grain oats contained in the bars.

Boundless Nutrition generously sent me a sample of each of their products to taste test and review. The Perfect FIT Protein Cookie flavors included were Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. The Oatmega 3 Wellness bar flavors included were Blueberry Pomegranate Crunch, Dark Chocolate Mint, Dark Chocolate Peanut, and Mocha.

I love their variety of flavors! Such a great selection for those who prefer different flavors. As a chocolate kind of girl, I was very happy to see that several products included some yummy chocolate. My mom is the same way in that she has a sweet tooth, but she often resists eating junk food. She “helped” me out with each sampling.

First up were the cookies! I love that they were soft and chewy. That’s my favorite kind! Each cookie is 150 calories, with 10 grams of protein, and 4 grams of fiber! Ever better, each cookie is made with 3 cups of Green Tea. Talk about a healthy cookie! The protein cookies are gluten free, with no soy, wheat, nor eggs added. With low sodium, Boundless Nutrition cookies only contain hormone-free milk protein. I enjoyed each flavor thoroughly, but I have to say the Peanut Butter was my favorite.

Now onto the Oatmega 3 Wellness Bars! Made of natural and organic ingredients, each bar contains 200mg of Omega-3′s, in addition to 10 grams of protein, and 2 cups of green tea. Each bar is roughly around 190 calories with 6 grams of fat. Soft and chewy like the cookies, each bar was packed with flavor! Enjoyed each flavor of the wellness bar, but the Dark Chocolate Mint one is my absolute favorite! Kind of reminded me of a candy bar like version of my favorite Girl Scout Cookie! I thought the bars were a great snack or as an addition to the lunch salad. Getting ready to hit the gym? Grab a bar for that extra boost while working out. The wellness bars are a great alternative to many energy bars you see out there on the market. Many of those bars are packed with high fructose corn syrup and unnatural artificial sugar substitutes, which is not the case with the Oatmega 3 bars.
