With THOR: RAGNAROK just a week away, we’ve been re-watching films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this household. After THOR, the next installment is BLACK PANTHER! That film arrives in theaters early next year on February 16 (that’s just a week after my birthday!).
BLACK PANTHER features our new favorite hero returning to Wakanda to succeed the throne after the death of his father, the King (as seen in CIVIL WAR). Wakanda is an isolated, technologically advanced African nation. It’s not long before a powerful old enemy reappears. T’Challa must now balance his life as the king and Black Panther, for the fate of Wakanda (and the world) is at risk!
BLACK PANTHER stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole wrote the screenplay.
