I love this time of year when the weather starts to warm, the days stay light longer, and all I want to do is be outside! Every day after work, my son and I go for a long travel around our community, whether he’s just in the stroller and I’m jogging or we walk on over to the playground. Either way, it’s great to be outdoors! Plus I like that we are becoming a more active family.
Trust me, as a mom I totally understand how hard it can be to juggle work, errands, running the household, cooking dinner, finding time to play with the kids, sports, homework, housework, etc. So many days I just want to come home after work, kick up my feet, and sit on the couch all day. However, like I stated above, I’ve been pushing myself to go outside and enjoy a more active life.
Living in cities set on the bay, we are lucky enough to have boating and other water activities readily available to us. I can’t wait to take my son in the paddle boats in one of our rivers later this year. They are so much fun! Plus my family has already been telling him all about other boats too! He definitely knows though that he needs that life jacket before setting foot aboard. Until then, we are having fun going to the park and planning trips back to the Zoo and amusement parks.

Love these activity suggestions. As my daughter is older, we are into geocaching and learning about the new locations.

We spend a lot of time outside. I wish I could go jogging, but my 2 year old refuses to let me push her in the stroller or anything, she always wants to walk, so it is a slow exercise.
