I have received free products, online support and incentives for participating in the Shaklee Corporation blogger program. People following the weight-loss portion of the Shaklee 180™ Program can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week. All opinions are my own. I am also a Shaklee distributor.
As I’m sure you know by now, back on March 1st I officially started the for weight loss. I can’t tell you enough how much I love that Shaklee 180™ uses all natural ingredients in their meal replacements (plus no GMOs!!) for this plan. Yes, I’m going to stress that each time I post an update!
If you want a quick run down of the program, I recommend reading my March update first. This gives you a better idea of what exactly how I go about this program.

April Results
So let’s just jump right to it. So how did I do for April? Here are my stats for 4/31/2013:
Weight: 195 lbs.
Hips: 36.5″
Waist: 45″
Bust: 44″
Thighs: 24″
Arms: 12.5″
When I made my video, I was down 8 lbs. Now I’m super excited to announce that at the end of the month, I’ve reached an April total of 10 lbs loss! While I had a decrease in inches too, I was disappointed that it wasn’t more. I only lost 3″ for the month of April. While people have commented that I look like I lost weight, I would love to see a more visual difference for myself next month.
Grand Total:
Weight loss of 18 lbs.
Inch loss of 9.5″
I think one way I could see an increase in inches loss for May is probably through more exercise. I know in my last post I noted this would be a focus for April. I admit, I did not exercise nearly as much as I should have the first two weeks. However the last 2 weeks I’ve really kicked it up! I plan to stick to the more frequent workouts now that I’m kind of in that fitness mode. Plus the weather being much nicer outside now really helps!
One way I’m getting my work outs in is through my kickball league. Every week I play a kickball and attend practice. Since I was recently sent a heart rate monitor, I’ve been able to make sure that I’m able to get my heart rate into the “burn calories / burn fat” range. I love this method of “working out.” Not only is a little bit different than my usual work outs, but I get to hit the field and have some good old school play ground fun with my friends. Who says work outs have to be boring?
I know it’s kind of blurry (taken with my friend’s phone), but here is me “up to bat” at one of our kickball games!
However, I will say that I’m super happy with my 18 lb weight loss so far. My goal each month is at least 8 lbs and so far I’ve hit that for both March and April. I’m really feeling good about going into May. I feel like if I can keep up what I’ve accomplished already, I’m going to be one happy camper.
The meal plan has been super easy to follow. I usually have a shake in the morning, meal bar in for lunch, and a nutritious and balanced dinner. I’ve been able to go out with my friends on a few occasions for drinks and dinner. It’s all about making wise choices while out. I’m very proud of myself that I was still able to socialize out but keep my new Shaklee lifestyle in check.
As I mentioned in the video, I am a little worried about going to a work conference this week and then heading up to Boston. There will be many moments of temptation. I’ll be attending a Kentucky Derby soiree and the menu is to die for! I just have to make sure I count my calories and stick to correct portions. Wish me luck!

Sounds like an easy enough plan that I could even stick to it. My problem is that exercise is just so not fun. I could really get into a game of kickball though!

The temptation is part of what you’ll experience after leaving the program so it’s kind of a good thing you get an early test!
