“First Night” once again returns to Annapolis! This family-oriented event provides residents and visitors with a fun-filled and safe environment for all ages to celebrate New Year’s Eve in lovely scenic Downtown Annapolis. The event includes live musical entertainment and will feature two fireworks displays! There is an early fireworks show for families and a traditional midnight display to ring in the New Year.
I love that this year’s First Night even is FREE. There are no badges or buttons required to partake in all the fun.
Locations
Please note that the Afternoon Kids Activities are at a new location this year! You will find all the fun at the Weems Whelan Field (ball fields) behind Maryland Hall and Bates Middle School, 801 Chase Street. Participants are invited to park at the garage at 5 Park Place and take free shuttles provided by the City of Annapolis to and from the ball fields. Activities will include face painting, an obstacle course, moon bounce and music performed by kids’ rock bands.
As for the Evening Events, those will take place at Susan Campbell Park, City Dock. Festivities includes live music and dancing, and of course fireworks at midnight!

I haven’t spent new year at Annapolis. After reading this blog, I must take out time to check the new year celebration 2017 here.
