This month I finally found time after vacation to check out MIRROR MIRROR! This film is a hilarious and fresh retelling of the classic fairytale Snow White. Featured in the film are Academy Award®-winner Julia Roberts as the evil Queen, Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, and Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as the Prince. Nathan Lane, Sean Bean, and Mare Winningham also star in MIRROR MIRROR. Check out the special features on Blu-ray including the “I Believe in Love” Dance-along, an Interactive Storybook, and many deleted scenes for your viewing.
With the plot of this film, the evil Queen has captured Snow White’s kingdom and has sent her into exile. Snow White soon teams up with the seven dwarfs, who are quite the rebels! They fight with Snow to win back her kingdom and reclaim the heart of her Prince. Since my son has no attention span for movies, my friend brought her daughters over for some viewing fun! The girls especially loved this version of Snow White and couldn’t stop giggling at all the funny parts. Quite a light-hearted and fun tale. I could tell the girls really enjoyed the movie. One of them, age 6, wanted to make sure I included in my review that she especially loved the part when the Prince is under the influence of the Puppy Love Potion. She thought it was just too funny to watch the Prince act like a dog!
