As my son gets ready for Kindergarten this month, more than ever am I realizing the importance of education and enrichment beyond the classroom. This is why I’m super excited to tell you about one of Maryland’s BEST annual fundraisers… Maritime Magic! Taking place September 30, this even will be packed with great food and beverages from over 80 of the area’s top restaurants. Plus you can’t go wrong with live music (Con Brio is headlining!!), a silent auction, all along a casual-festive waterfront atmosphere, the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park at Living Classrooms Foundation’s waterfront campus in Fells Point. The event has been rated one of the best benefits in Baltimore by Baltimore Magazine and the Baltimore Sun.
Remember, this is all for a GREAT CAUSE! Maritime Magic is a benefit in support of the innovative hands-on education and job-training programs provided by Living Classrooms Foundation. Living Classrooms works primarily with youth and young adults living in high-risk environments in the Baltimore and Washington, DC areas. I absolutely love that Living Classrooms gives youth the skills needed to turn their lives around, continue their education, and achieve success in the workplace.
