2017 Maryland Pumpkin Patch Fun

Autumn is my absolutely favorite season! I love the hoodie weather, the colorful trees, the crisp air, bonfires, pumpkin dishes, and of course, Halloween! One of my favorite activities during this time of year is heading out to the pumpkin patch with my son. Yesterday we shared with you a listing of fun local fall festivals and Halloween events. While many of those festivals are held at pumpkin patches, I wanted to share a few additional pumpkin patch locations in Maryland.

Baugher’s Orchard: Take a fun wagon right out to pick your own pumpkins and apples. Open weekends in October. There is also a free walk-in petting zoo, pony rides, and scarecrow making.

Bowles Farm Pumpkin Patch: Open September 30 – October 29. Pick your pumpkins at the giant pumpkin patch and navigate the largest corn maze in Southern Maryland.  Kids will love the petting zoo, barrel rides and the chance for a picture with Sponge Bob!

Brookfield Pumpkins: Open September 24 – October 31. Pick your own pumpkins, corn maze. Monday – Thursday from 3-6 PM, and Friday – Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM. Free hayride to the patch on weekends.

Butler’s Orchard: Weekends September 30 – October 29. 10 AM – 5 PM. Corn maze, pumpkin cannon, food and farm market. $12. Children 2 and under free.

Clark’s Elioak Farm: Open September 16 – October 31. Pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides and more. Pumpkin chuckin’ the last weekend. Tuesday – Friday, 10 AM – 5 PM; Saturday – Sunday, 10 AM – 5:30 PM. $6 admission, some activities have additional cost.

Councell Farms: Open September – October 31. Field of fun, pumpkin patch, corn maze and more. 9 AM – 5 PM. $5, grandparents are free.

Forest Hall Farm and Orchard: Open September 23 – October 29, weekends. Corn maze, hayride, farm animals, play area and more. Free small apple or pumpkin with admission. Weekdays by appointment. 9 AM – 5 PM. $8, under age 3 free.

Homestead Farms: September 23 – October 31. Pick your own pumpkin, hayride, corn maze and more. Admission and hayrides are free. Prices vary for other activities. 10 AM – 6 PM.

Kent Fort Farm: Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch, stop by the petting zoo, and stock up on apples, Asian pears, and other fall produce. Saturdays and Sundays only in October, 11 AM – 4 PM.

Knightongale Farm: Open September 30 – October 29, weekends. Pumpkin patch, corn maze, facepainting, hayrides, and more. Free admission with additional activity costs. 10 AM – 5 PM.

Larriland Farm: This farm has thousands of orange pumpkins, each one waiting to become a jack-o-lantern for your porch. The farm is decorated for Halloween with ghosts and goblins to delight and scare you. A straw maze and Boo Barn, for kids age 4-6, are open every day in October. Hayrides run Saturdays and Sundays, September 30, October 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, Friday 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, and November 4 and 5, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Middleton’s Cedar Hill Farm: Open September 23 – October 29. Saturdays and Sundays, 10 AM – 6 PM. The $10 admission (under 2 is free) includes barnyard animals, 8-acre corn maze, kiddie maze, and a hayride to a pick-your-own pumpkin patch.

Queen Anne Farm: At this pumpkin patch you can explore the farm, take a hay ride, pet the animals, enjoy the flowers, learn about vegetables, and take home some delicious fresh vegetables and beautiful pumpkins of every size and color.

Rodgers’ Farms: Open September 23 – November 5, Fridays – Sundays. Pick your own pumpkin, corn maze, hayride, farm animals and more. Friday, 12 -6 PM: Saturday – Sunday, 10 AM – 6 PM. $7-$9. Ages 3 and younger free. Food and refreshments available.
