Autumn is my absolutely favorite season! I love the hoodie weather, the colorful trees, the crisp air, bonfires, pumpkin dishes, and of course, Halloween! One of my favorite activities during this time of year is heading out to the pumpkin patch with my son. Yesterday we shared with you a listing of fun local fall festivals and Halloween events. While many of those festivals are held at pumpkin patches, I wanted to share a few additional pumpkin patch locations in Maryland.

Baugher’s Orchard: Take a fun wagon right out to pick your own pumpkins and apples. Open weekends in October. There is also a free walk-in petting zoo, pony rides, and scarecrow making.

Bowles Farm Pumpkin Patch: Open September 30 – October 29. Pick your pumpkins at the giant pumpkin patch and navigate the largest corn maze in Southern Maryland. Kids will love the petting zoo, barrel rides and the chance for a picture with Sponge Bob!

Brookfield Pumpkins: Open September 24 – October 31. Pick your own pumpkins, corn maze. Monday – Thursday from 3-6 PM, and Friday – Sunday from 10 AM – 6 PM. Free hayride to the patch on weekends.

Kent Fort Farm: Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch, stop by the petting zoo, and stock up on apples, Asian pears, and other fall produce. Saturdays and Sundays only in October, 11 AM – 4 PM.

Larriland Farm: This farm has thousands of orange pumpkins, each one waiting to become a jack-o-lantern for your porch. The farm is decorated for Halloween with ghosts and goblins to delight and scare you. A straw maze and Boo Barn, for kids age 4-6, are open every day in October. Hayrides run Saturdays and Sundays, September 30, October 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, Friday 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, and November 4 and 5, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
