Do you enjoy wine, craft, beer, shopping, and food trucks?? Well my fellow Marylanders, this is a post you will want to read. The region’s newest food and wine festival, Taste of Linganore, will take place on August 13-14, 2016 from 11 AM to 6 PM. This year the festival will benefit the Anna’s Gift Foundation. This organization provides activities for hospitalized children/teens and young adults and their families. The festival is presented by Linganore Winecellars and Red Shedman Brewery. Do you know what I really love about the Taste of Linganore? There is something for everyone! Just because the event is at a winery, doesn’t mean you can’t bring the kids along. This is definitely an event for the whole family, young and old.
For wine and beer tastings, the festival will feature selections from Linganore Winecellars, Red Shedman Brewery & Cider, Antietam Brewery, and Full Tilt Brewery. Food vendors include Bmore Brulee Truck, Churasco Brazilian Steak House Truck, Dolce Italian Ice, JB Seafood, Maggi’s Pizza Truck, Pork Authority Truck, Sara Festivals Mediterranean, Say Cheese Grilled Cheese Truck, St. Mina Philly Cheesesteak Truck, The Wandering Chef, and Uncle Moe’s Soul Food Truck.
For live music fans, you’ll be able to relax on the lawn to the sounds of Chris Sacks Band and Captain Jack on Saturday and Vinyl Rhino and The Back Pages Band on Sunday. Plus you’ll be able to shop unique vendors offering food and wine related goods on the grounds as well.
Admission to the festival for those 21+ is $15 online and $20 at the gate. The price includes a wine glass, wine and beer tasting and a winery tour. $5 from every admission is going to directly benefit Anna’s Gift. Admission for designated drivers and those under 21 is FREE.
While Linganore Winecellars will provide me with a media pass to the event, all opinions and thoughts expressed are 100% my own.
