Since I have a rambunctious 18 month old in my household, little scraps and bumps aren’t unheard of. I always have the first aid kit handy because who knows what “boo boo” he might come to me with. All part of being a mom! Then again, I’m in my 20s and still have a use for band aids. I admit, some of my shoes are brutal and blisters are unavoidable.
I believe that two of the most reliable and high-quality first aid brands out there are BAND-AID and NEOSPORIN! They are both pretty much major staples in my first aid kit. They provide the perfect combo to heal any cut, scrap, blister, bump in no time.
Both brands generously sent me a variety of products to test out this holiday season!
BAND-AID
Sure band-aids have to be effective… but this doesn’t mean they can’t be cute! BAND-AID offers Brand Adhesive Bandages now featuring The Muppets!
These designs include all the favorite characters from Kermit to Miss Piggy. Now my son isn’t exactly sure who the Muppets are, but he certainly loves those colorful bandages! Only problem is that he thinks they are just like his stickers and is always pointing to wear them, even when he doesn’t have a boo-boo. One the plus side, the characters quickly distract him from his “ouch” as he calls it. Each package contains 20 assorted bandages sized 10 – ¾” x 3″ and 10 – 5/8″ x 2 ¼”. They have a suggested retail price of $2.99.
Now I also get my share of cuts and scrapes. Even around the office I’ll find myself with a dreaded paper cut, or at home I’ve nicked myself while shaving. Usually I slap on a flesh color bandage and hope no one sees! However, now BAND-AID has these adorable sets from Cynthia Rowley! I’m loving the cool and modern look of these bandages. Quite fashionable! Some of the designs included are lace, sequins (pictured above), gold chains and a runway show! They have a suggested retail price of $3.49.
Also included in my pack was the BAND-AID Brand Adhesive Bandages with QUILTVENT® Technology. I love that these bandages include new technology that creates air channels, which will then allow your cut or scrap to “breathe.” These bandages still do an awesome job of protecting your wound from any dirt or germs.
Now I previously mentioned blisters from shoes in my content above. What can I say? I have a shoe addiction but whenever I buy a new pair, I dread having to break in new shoes. Luckily the BAND-AID Friction Block works like a charm. You just simply apply to those areas on your feet where you are prone to sores and blisters. It then creates a “block” so to speak to protect your skin. I love how compact the product is. Perfect size to through in your gym bag or keep in your purse. On those long days in high heels, I find myself keeping this handy stick discreetly right in my purse. The suggested retail price is $4.99.
NEOPSORIN
Weather is getting quite cold here on the East Coast. Cold weather usually means dry air, which then means chapped lips! No one wants dry lips and NEOSPORIN has the answer to prevent that. Both of the following products are promised to improve your lip help within 3 days of initial usage!
For daily protection and lip care, NEOSPORIN offers the Daily Hydration Therapy. This lip therapy offers SPF 20 to protect against sunburn, as well as contains glycerin to attract and retain lip moisture. I found the consistency to be quite lightweight and non-greasy. It absorbed into my lips fairly quickly! The suggested retail price is $4.99.
Not if you have the unfortunate issue of damage to your lips, NEOSPORIN offers Overnight Renewal Therapy. The formula is specifically designed to hydrate your lips overnight. This therapy uses vitamins and moisturizers to help repair and nourish your lips as you sleep. Now my lips weren’t necessarily dried out when I used this product overnight. However, I could definitely tell it was making my lips feel quite soft and moisturized! The suggested retail prize is $4.99.
Overall I find the products that BAND-AID and NEOSPORIN product are that of high quality! They are necessities in anyone’s first aid kit. Even better, they make great (and practical!) stocking stuffers for the holidays! So next time you find yourself trying to pick out something to stuff those stockings, just remember BAND-AID and NEOSPORIN!

I am so LUCKY that I saw this post!! (Well, my husband is) because today he bought 2 new pair of dress shoes for work and he JUST SAID that he is dreading breaking them in because of the blisters he will be getting. I had never heard of this Band-Aid Friction Block and I am going to buy it for him tonight! Those Glam bandages are super fun too. Great Post!

I had to stop buying character Band-Aids because my youngest had a boo boo twice a day. Now I buy the regular (“skevortz”) Band-Aids and I have Blister Block in my purse.

My son is obsessed with band-aids. If he bumps his leg, the cat brushes by him, whatever – he always needs a band-aid! I’ll be filling his stocking with these. Loved the Kermit & Missy Piggy designs, too!
Stephanie @ One Sleepy Mom says
I always put necessities in the stockings, though I never thought of Band Aids. I do use Neosporin Lip health myself, but I have to say that it tastes like BandAids!!! Works like a charm though – just don’t eat while its on your lips.
