Well now that the little man has reached the 7 month mark, his “baby” toys just don’t do it anymore.  He needs sound, he needs action, and he needs something to keep his attention.  Luckily Fisher-Price has created the perfect toy to fit his new found needs.

Fisher-Price generously sent us the Go Baby Go! Poppity Pop Musical Dino to review.  This super  adorable happy dinosaur comes with six brightly colored light as air balls.  When you turn the dino on, the balls in the middle pop up and down, bouncing like crazy all around,.  A melodic tune plays along to the action.  The dino comes with eight different songs and silly sound effects.  When one song stops, simply toss the ball back in the “tummy” and the music starts back up, popping the balls into the air!  There is a hole for the balls to roll out the dino’s mouth, or let your little drop a ball on the tail and watch it roll right back into the tummy through the little green door.

Geared towards ages 6 months to 36 months, I love how this toy will entertain my son for the both his baby and toddler years.  I can just see him now running around chasing the balls as they pop out and roll elsewhere into the living room.

Another aspect I love about this toy is that it demonstrates cause and effect.  At 7 months, Baby C is learning all about this.  I show him when the music stops, to drop the ball in the tummy (when something touches in the yellow interior), and it starts back up!  I also show him how when you drop the ball on the tail, it rolls down through the green door.  The dino is also great for hand-eye coordination.  While I can’t quite seem to get him to place the balls back, he has learned to reach in and pull one out.  The balls are a perfect size for his little hands.  In addition, he very much enjoys the spinning rattle on the front and playing with the little green door by the tail.Overall this is a great toy that helps encourage the development of your baby, or provides a ton of fun for your toddler.  If you are looking for the perfect holiday gift for a child age 6 months to 3 years old, you should definitely consider Fisher Price’s Go Baby Go!
