I’ll admit, I have quite a sweet tooth!  I was beyond excited when I was recently given the opportunity to review David’s Cookies.

The Story Behind David’s Cookies
In 1979, David Liederman was a top chef in New York City. At the time, boutique cookie shops along the West Coast were everywhere and the smell of fresh baked, chocolate chip cookies could be smelled for miles.
 
Chef David had the brilliant idea to bring this California trend back East, and the first David’s Cookies store was born in the heart of Manhattan. Passersby quickly fell in love with his funny shaped cookies, which were always oven fresh and loaded with heaping chunks (not chips) of chocolate. Chef David, trained in the finest French culinary academies, began mixing and tasting; using only the finest, all natural, ingredients – pure vanilla, butter, Swiss chocolate and whole nuts, he achieved his anticipated result; a uniquely delicious cookie that looked and tasted “just like mamma made!”

David’s Cookies generously sent us their 1 lb. tin of an assortment of their fresh baked cookies!  Flavors included were Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, Macadamia White Chocolate Chip, Cherry White Chocolate Chip, and Double Chocolate Chunk.

The cookies arrive in a bright red tin displaying the David’s Cookies logo.  They were packed well and none of the cookies arrived broken.   I immediately had to sneak a bite of just one as soon I opened the tin.  Definitely fresh!  Nothing stale about these cookies.  Most products are shipped 2nd day-air for just $4.95.  Plus, their products are Kosher OUD!



The cookies were soft and generously sized.  They have the perfect homemade look!  Now ladies, I know sometimes we get wrangled into cookie exchanges each year around the holidays.  Don’t feel like baking?  Definitely order from David’s Cookies!  The moms will have no idea you ordered from a company and after tasting these cookies, they’ll be begging for your “recipe”!

I tried every flavor.  Now I normally do not like white chocolate chips, but I think the Cherry White Chocolate Chip cookie was my favorite!  The Oatmeal Raisin and the Peanut Butter were a close second.  My mom tried the cookies with the Chocolate Chunks.  She absolutely loved the chocolate used.  I noted that they use Hershey chocolate in their cookies!  Delicious!  These cookies were the right amount of sweet.

    I think the cookie dough tub with scoop would be perfect; then I could bake just a couple at a time and not feel compelled to eat a whole tin in one sitting! carriethegood(at)gmail

    I think it would have been easier to ask what I don't like on this site!! I love having pumpkin flavored things this time of year so I would like the Pumpkin Cheesecake!!
