There is a new toy in my household and we are having a blast! When I first heard about Ubooly, I was definitely intrigued with the concept. It is an interactive plush “pet” that is powered by your iPhone or iPod. You simply download the Ubooly app, slide your device into the Ubooly toy, and then play away!

The Ubooly Lab officially launched this year back on May 22. What I absolutely love most about this toy is that it allows you to customize your pet, which then enriches your child’s imagination and playtime experience! Though it is geared towards ages 4 to 10, it has over a thousand activities including games, songs, lessons, stories, jokes, and more really for any age! Even as an adult I had fun playing with Ubooly.

Mix science, fun, and plush with GIANT Microbes!As most of you already know, I’m a huge fan of GIANT microbes, as we’ve featured them here on the blog before. I love the uniqueness and fun aspect of their plush toys and other products. They make such great gifts for little budding scientists too!

If you aren’t familiar, GIANT microbes offers plush toys that are made to look like tiny microbes, only multiplied a million times their actual size! Each one comes with an information card detailing facts on the microbe the toy represents. What a fun way to learn about microbes! GIANT microbes is always releasing new plush toys with every season. Their lasted microbes include crab louse, muscle cell, and babesia!

New episode of Doc McStuffins coming May 3!My son has been on quite a Disney Jr. kick lately. I’m sure you’ve seen me post that Jake and The Neverland Pirates is his favorite, but Henry Hugglemonster is quickly becoming a hit in our household. Another one of his favorites is DOC MCSTUFFINS! I think he loves seeing all the toys come to life and as a mom I love what the show teaches about compassion and other lessons that are great for toddlers.

In just a few days, starting April 12, Disney Junior will invite all its fans to vote for their favorite DOC MCSTUFFINS toy character! Voting will take place at DisneyJunior.com/Doc. You can vote for Hallie, Lambie, Stuffy or Chilly! Disney will reveal which toy received the most votes on May 3 during the premiere of a brand new episode! Speaking of which…

Be sure to catch the newest DOC MCSTUFFINS episode “Bronto Boo-Boos / Brontosaurus Breath” on May 3, at 10:00 AM EST/PT over on Disney Channel. 2012 #Holiday Gift Guide: Bright Starts Having A Ball Giggables ~ #Review

Bright Starts products and toys have always been pretty popular in our household. My son loves their toys. They’ve always created engaging, fun, and fresh toys for babies and toddlers. This is exactly why I was super excited to learn about Bright Starts Having a Ball Giggables! Now that my little man is up and running, he loves chasing anything. These balls are right up his alley.

The full line of Giggables features a Tiger, Elephant, Pig, Frog, Chick, and Cow! They are quite colorful and are geared towards ages 6 months to 36 months. They are quite easy for a baby to push along and hear the “giggles” of the animal.

Bright Starts generously sent us the Tiger from the Having a Ball Giggables line to test out with my son and to review. The Giggable characters are so cute with their vibrant colors and funny faces.

powerrangers11It seems throughout the years toy fads come and go. However, one evil-fighting superhero team that has always stuck around is the Power Rangers! This group has been around since 1993 and still going strong with the action, adventure and entertaining children in 2013. The newest season of Power Rangers is Super Samurai, which airs on Nickelodeon and is currently the #1 kids’ action series!

In honor of Super Samurai  the offering of Power Rangers gifts is a plenty!  You can also purchase Power Ranger bike helmets, skateboards, action figures, battle gear, scooters, and more. For the holidays they offer ornaments and stockings. Any Power Ranger fan would love to have a special ornament on their tree or a stocking hung by the fireplace honoring one of their favorite shows for the Christmas time.

I recently received the Power Rangers 10.5” Battlers Plush and ornament. My son at the time was unfamiliar with Power Rangers, but once I showed him what he called the “ninja”, he was super excited! [Read more...]
