Might not be as famous as the NYC Skyline, but it is still an absolutely beautiful view. Love that Boston skyline!
Wordless Wednesday: Relaxing by the Ocean ~ #NewportRI #WordlessWednesday
As you probably already know from my post last week, that I headed up north to visit family in Boston. Of course, I couldn’t take a trip up there without stopping home in Newport, RI. My absolute favorite spot is First Beach off of Memorial Blvd next to the Cliff Walk. After a morning run by the ocean, I stopped on the benches just recover and take in the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.
It was very hard leaving and heading back to Maryland…

Wordless Wednesday: Boston Celtics Pride ~ #WW #WordlessWednesday
In honor of heading up to Boston to see family, my son has been wearing his favorite shirt…. his Kevin Garnett Boston Celtics Jersey! He’s had the jersey before he was even 1 year old. Thankfully it’s a 3T so it’s been able to fit him for awhile now.

Protect Your Family from Hidden Danger with Kidde Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide Alarm
This is a sponsored post. While I received financial compensation via a gift card, all opinions are 100% my own.
Living in a historic city, my home is just a “baby” compared to the others in my area. Since it was built in 2002, I never thought I would have to worry about any hidden dangers. My home is sound in structure, and I was more worried about my son falling off all the furniture he climbs on, or sticking something in his mouth that shouldn’t be there and choking. Boy was I wrong thinking those were the only dangers. It doesn’t matter how old your home is, one deadly hidden danger is carbon monoxide (CO). colorless, odorless and tasteless, CO is deadly within minutes.
The only safe way to detect CO in your home with with a working CO alarm. While according to the U.S. Census, 75% of all homes have a potential source of carbon monoxide, it’s unfortunate to know that only 50% of homes have a functional carbon monoxide alarm. It is actually recommended that you place an alarm on every level of your home and in sleeping areas. I know I would feel much safer if I had all the areas covered to protect my family and I from this silent killer.
This year Kidde released the Worry-Free Carbon Monoxide Alarm! This alarm is the first and only UL-listed CO alarm proven to provide up to 10 years of protection. That is twice the lifespan in other available alarms! In other words, no more constantly have to change batteries, or that annoying low-battery beeping! These alarms are different because they use a sealed-in lithium battery that powers the alarm for a decade. How awesome is that?

Beauty Balms: My Favorite BB Creams!
I was not financially compensated for this posting. All opinions are my own.
In recent years I think one of my “must-haves” for my makeup routine has been beauty balms! It’s amazing how one little cream can do so much for your skin and appearance. I love beauty balms because they not only cover up little flaws and reduce the appearance of dark spots or discoloration, but they also serve as a primer and moisturizer.
The winter season didn’t treat my skin too kindly. I admit I definitely have been using BB creams every day. It was funny the other night I was getting ready to go out… as I was putting on my makeup, my friend who was over asked about BB creams, as she eyed my stockpile. She had seen commercials, but had never used them before. It didn’t dawn on me until then that just maybe not everyone knew about the magic of beauty balms.
So today I present to you my absolutely favorite BB creams!
Keep in mind that everyone’s skin is different. This is just my personal opinion on what works well with my skin, which is a normal to oily combination.

Our Easter Celebration 2013
Last weekend you may have noticed I took a little break from blogging to enjoy Easter weekend with my family. My siblings and their significant others flew into town, and we all congregated at my parents for family fun.
Since my son was just a few days shy of turning 2 years old, we tried to make Easter a fun and celebratory event for him! First up? An Easter Egg Hunt!! This was his first real egg hunt and he loved it! He found eggs that not even I spotted while trying to assist him.
He had so much fun running around! Don’t worry, he didn’t get anywhere near the water. My mom was nice enough to hide the eggs around the yard, and slip little prizes into each egg. I know this will sound cheesy, but it truly was a joy to watch him enjoy his first real Easter.
