National Bubble Bath Day ~ January 8th

Did you know that today is National Bubble Bath Day? Yes this momma is definitely looking forward to a nice long and relaxing bubble bath tonight. I mean, how can I not? It’s a National Day and I’m just doing my civic duty to celebrate!

Funny thing is that up until the 1950s, the average American only bathed once a week! Crazy, right? These days people take a shower or bath almost every day. Well I shower at least once a day. Bath time has become somewhat of that once and awhile luxury indulge to help relax the muscles, cleanse the skin, open your pores, etc.

So tonight I want all my fellow hard working mommas reading this to take a night to indulge. Grab your favorite bubble bath, light some candles, turn on relaxing background music and treat yourself! I picked up some new LUSH bath bombs last night and will breaking into the case of you know what pictures below…

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ~ #Humor

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! As some of you already know, my family is of Irish descent. Very heavy Irish descent, Black Irish to be specific. The Festival of Patrick is a day of religious observance back in Ireland. A day the Catholics not only reflect on the arrival of Christianity to Ireland, but a day to celebrate their heritage and remember the Trinity.

Though St. Patrick’s Day is not a legal holiday here in the United States, it would be false to say we don’t celebrate it. We drink alcohol, wear green, drink more alcohol, drink green beer, eat corn beef, eat cabbage, and then drink more alcohol. So let’s face it, it’s pretty much a drinking holiday here in America where everyone gets to be “Irish” and have some fun!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone! Whether you are Irish or not, celebrating in church or in a bar, here is a cheer to Ireland and St. Patrick!

Did You Have a #Merry #Christmas? ~ #Christmas2011

Hope everyone had a magical Christmas this year! I am now back in town, but not quite fully back from the holiday break. I have family in town till January 2nd.

We had a great first Christmas for the little man! He received more than enough toys from the family and Santa! Walkers, books, push along wagons, cars, a ride on train, books, cars, basketball hoop, books, cars…. did I mention the books and cars? Yes, this little guy loves his books, and loves his cars!

As for this momma, she received a new camera! Yes, a nice new Nikon. Finally! No more borrowing my mom’s camera or taking photos with my phone. My old digital camera died earlier this year, but never got around to replacing it. So happy to finally have a new one in my hands!

So how was your Christmas? How did you make out? Did the little ones get what they wanted from Santa?
